Getting Started
What Fitzy is
Fitzy is a wheel and tire e-commerce platform that helps entrepreneurs, tire shops, repair shops and automotive businesses launch and operate an online wheel and tire store using vehicle-fitment technology, supplier integrations, product-management tools and e-commerce infrastructure without building the entire system themselves.
Fitzy was built by Limitless Tire Group (Canada, founded 2008) to run its own multi-location wheel and tire operation, then commercialized for other dealers. The same engine powers the Fitted Rims consumer store on this site.
Dealer onboarding process
1. Book the 30-minute demo (or submit the Get Started form). The call covers your business type, markup goals, and which surfaces you'll sell through (standalone store, website widget, in-shop kiosk).
2. Supply your branding: business name, logo files, and brand colors. If you're using your own domain, provide it at this stage.
3. The Fitzy team configures your storefront on the platform engine, pre-loaded with live supplier inventory, and sets up your markup rules and Stripe payout connection.
4. Review and go live — typically within days of the call, often within 24 hours once assets are supplied.
Platform requirements
No hardware or software installation is required. The platform is cloud-based: a modern web browser on any computer, tablet, or phone is sufficient. In-shop kiosk use only requires a consumer tablet.
You will need a registered business and a bank account to receive Stripe payouts.
Supported countries
The platform serves automotive businesses in the United States and Canada. Supplier fulfillment ships across the contiguous United States.
Coverage for your specific region and market is confirmed on the demo call before any commitment.
Catalog, Fitment & Data
Supplier network overview
Dealers sell from live inventory held by 75+ integrated wheel and tire suppliers — over 1M SKUs representing $100M+ in combined stock — under Fitzy's master supplier relationships. Dealers do not apply to distributors individually.
Vehicle-fitment methodology
Every shopping session starts with the customer's vehicle year, make, and model. The fitment engine then constrains the catalog using bolt pattern, offset, center bore, and tire-size data, so only verified-compatible products are shown and purchasable.
This check runs before payment, which is the platform's primary defense against fitment-error returns.
Product-data sources
Product specifications, images, and descriptions come from supplier and manufacturer data feeds, normalized by the platform. Dealers never upload or maintain product data by hand.
Inventory and pricing update frequency
Stock levels and wholesale pricing sync continuously from supplier feeds. Out-of-stock items stop displaying before customers can order them, and wholesale price changes flow through your markup rules automatically.
Orders, Shipping & After-Sales
Order workflow
Customer pays your retail price at checkout → Fitzy reviews order and fitment details → the order routes to a supplier with confirmed stock (packages may split-source across warehouses) → the supplier prepares and ships → tracking surfaces to dealer and customer.
The full step-by-step version with responsibilities per party is on the Order Lifecycle page.
Shipping workflow
Products ship from the fulfilling supplier's warehouse to the customer's address, the dealer's shop, or a designated installer — chosen at checkout. Wheel-and-tire packages ship mounted and balanced where the fulfilling supplier supports it.
Returns process
Fitzy coordinates supplier-side return logistics per the published policy, so dealers are not managing freight claims alone. Fitment-error purchases are rare by design because incompatible products are blocked before payment; see the Fitment Guarantee for how confirmed fitment issues are made right.
Warranty process
Products are new from authorized distributors and carry their manufacturer warranties. Warranty claims are honored through the supplier and manufacturer, with Fitzy coordinating the process.
Payments, Pricing & Money Flow
Payment processing
Checkout runs on Stripe. Customers pay by card or through embedded financing. The wholesale cost routes to the supplier and the dealer's markup is deposited to the dealer's bank account on the standard Stripe payout schedule. Dealers never float product costs or invoice suppliers.
Connecting a different payment processor is not currently offered.
Financing integrations
Affirm and Snap financing are available at checkout, letting customers split payments on high-ticket packages while the dealer still receives their full markup.
Plans and fees
Revenue-share plan: $0/month, no setup fee. The dealer earns 10% of the profit on each sale; Fitzy retains the remainder and manages fulfillment.
Subscription plan: one-time $2,500 setup fee plus $500/month (Starter) or $650/month (Pro). The dealer keeps 100% of their markup.
Optional add-ons: hosted website from $29/month; FitzyChat AI assistant $49/month. Current details are always on the Pricing page.
Dealer pricing controls
Markup is set in the dealer dashboard — flat amounts or percentages, per brand or product type. Retail prices recalculate automatically when wholesale costs change.
Website, Domains & Integration
Domain setup
Stores can run on your own domain or a subdomain (for example, shop.yourbusiness.com). The Fitzy team handles domain mapping during onboarding — you provide the domain; they configure it.
Existing website integration
An embeddable widget (JavaScript/iFrame snippet) adds the full vehicle-search and checkout experience to an existing WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, or Wix site. You paste it where you want it to appear, or grant the Fitzy team temporary access and they place and test it for you.
Website and data ownership
Your brand, your domain, and your customer relationships are yours. The storefront itself runs on Fitzy's managed platform — it is not source code you own or self-host.
The specific terms covering data export and ownership are part of the dealer agreement reviewed during onboarding; ask for them explicitly on the demo call if this is a deciding factor for you.
Cancellation
Cancellation terms are set out in the dealer agreement provided during onboarding. The revenue-share plan carries no monthly fee. Request the current agreement on your demo call to review terms before committing.
Security, Privacy & Reliability
Security practices
Payment data is handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor — card details are not stored on Fitzy or dealer infrastructure. Storefronts are served over HTTPS.
Privacy practices
Customer data collected through storefronts is used to fulfill orders and operate the dealer's store. The site-wide Privacy Policy governs data handling.
Platform uptime and maintenance
The platform is cloud-hosted and centrally maintained — updates, fixes, and supplier-feed maintenance are handled by the Fitzy team without dealer action. The same infrastructure runs the Fitted Rims consumer store in production.
Developer API
A public self-serve API reference is not currently published. Widget embedding covers the common integration case; businesses with deeper integration requirements should raise them on the demo call so they can be scoped honestly.
About This Documentation
Is this documentation kept up to date?
Yes — this page reflects current published pricing and platform behavior and was last updated July 25, 2026. Where details depend on the dealer agreement, we say so instead of guessing.
Where do I get answers that aren't covered here?
Email info@fittedrims.com or book the 30-minute demo. Genuinely situation-dependent questions (custom integrations, specific market coverage) are answered there.
