    How Fitzy Dealers Make Money

Every revenue source, every cost, and when the money arrives — plus a calculator to model your own numbers. No guaranteed-income claims, because results depend on your pricing, traffic, and market.

    Where the revenue comes from

    Product markup

The core of the model. You set your retail markup per brand or product type in the dealer dashboard — a flat amount or a percentage on top of live wholesale cost. When wholesale prices change, your retail prices follow your rules automatically.

    Installation revenue

Orders can ship to your shop instead of the customer's door. Mounting, balancing, and TPMS service are your own labor revenue on top of the product margin — a structural advantage shops have over online-only retailers.

    Accessory upsells

Compatible TPMS sensors, lug nuts, and hub rings are surfaced at checkout. These attach to orders that were happening anyway.

    Financing-enabled ticket sizes

Affirm and Snap financing at checkout lets customers split payments on high-ticket packages. You receive your full markup; the financing provider carries the installment relationship.

    Every cost, itemized

    Software fees

Revenue-share plan: $0/month, no setup fee — you earn 10% of the profit per sale and Fitzy retains the rest while managing fulfillment. Subscription plan: one-time $2,500 setup + $500/month (Starter) or $650/month (Pro), and you keep 100% of your markup. Optional hosted website from $29/month; FitzyChat AI assistant $49/month.

    Payment processing

Checkout runs on Stripe. Standard card-processing rates apply (typically around 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction for online card payments). Processing costs come out of the retail price, so factor them into your markup.

    Supplier (wholesale) cost

The largest cost per order — the wholesale price of the products, which routes directly to the supplier at checkout. You see live wholesale cost before setting your margin, so this is never a surprise.

    Shipping

Freight from the supplier's warehouse is calculated as part of the order. Because you see landed costs before setting markup, shipping is priced into your margin rather than eroding it after the fact.

    Advertising

Entirely yours and entirely optional. Shops with walk-in traffic can start at $0 using the counter tablet; online-first dealers should budget real ad spend and treat it as their main variable cost.

    Returns and warranty handling

Fitment verification blocks incompatible purchases before payment, which prevents the most expensive return category. When returns do occur, Fitzy coordinates supplier-side logistics per the published policy. Manufacturer warranties are honored through the supplier and manufacturer.

    Money Questions, Answered

How much money can I make selling wheels and tires online?

There is no honest universal answer — it depends on your markup, traffic, market, and whether you capture installation revenue. That's exactly why this page gives you the cost structure and a calculator instead of an income claim. Model your own assumptions and stress-test them.

When do I receive my money?

The customer pays your full retail price at checkout via Stripe. The wholesale cost routes to the supplier, and your markup is deposited to your bank account through the standard Stripe payout schedule. You never invoice suppliers or float product costs.

Who carries the financial risk on returns and chargebacks?

Fitzy coordinates supplier-side return logistics so you aren't paying freight claims out of pocket, and fitment-error purchases are blocked before payment by design. Chargeback disputes run through the Stripe checkout process; how specific cases are handled is reviewed during onboarding.

    Which plan is better financially?

Depends on volume. The $0/month revenue-share plan has no fixed cost, so it's low-risk for testing — but you keep only 10% of profit per sale. The subscription plan costs $500–$650/month plus $2,500 setup, but you keep 100% of your markup, which wins once volume is consistent. The calculator below lets you compare both with your own numbers.
