The real risk is fitment, not fraud
Card fraud is largely handled by the payment processor. The expensive mistake is a size or bolt pattern that doesn't match your vehicle, because a tire mounted onto a wheel is no longer returnable anywhere. Check the size printed on your driver's door jamb sticker or the sidewall of your current tire before ordering, and do not mount anything until you have confirmed it matches.
